Clasow is a student academic app that helps you keep your class timetable and track your own attendance. This policy explains exactly what the app collects, why, who it is shared with, and how to delete it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
Clasow is developed and operated by Piyus Patra, an independent developer in India. Clasow is not operated by, affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any college, university or government body.

| Data | Why | Required? |
|---|---|---|
| Your name | To show who is signed in | Yes, via Google Sign-In |
| Your email address | To identify your account and let you sign in again on another device | Yes, via Google Sign-In |
| A user ID | An internal identifier that links your records to your account | Yes |
| Your academic activity — timetable, subjects, and the attendance you mark | This is the app's core purpose: to show your schedule and calculate your attendance | Yes |
| How you respond to reminders — see Reminders below | To send reminders at moments that suit your day, and to find out whether reminders actually help | No — you can turn this off |
We do not collect your location. We do not use Bluetooth. We do not record when you unlock your phone, or which other apps you use. We do not collect contacts, photos, files, messages, or any device identifier for advertising. Clasow contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
Only to operate the app for you: to sign you in, show your timetable, record the attendance you mark, and calculate your attendance percentage. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not build an advertising or marketing profile of you.
Clasow reminds you to record your classes. To make those reminders useful rather than annoying, the app keeps a note of what its own reminders did.
That note contains: that a reminder was sent and which of its messages was used; whether you opened it, dismissed it, or did nothing; and whether you recorded any classes afterwards.
The detailed note stays on your phone. It is never uploaded. Only a daily summary — how many classes there were, how many you recorded, how many reminders were sent and how many worked — is stored in your Clasow account.
This is used for two things and nothing else: choosing when to remind you, and letting us see whether reminders are helping students keep their attendance up to date. It is never shared with anyone, never sold, and never used for advertising.
You can turn this off. It is on when you install the app; switching it off in Settings stops the note being kept and stops the summary being sent. Reminders still work.
| Who | Why |
|---|---|
| Sign-in. We receive your name, email address and a Google account identifier so you can log in without a password. Handled under Google's Privacy Policy. | |
| Supabase | Our database and authentication host. Your account and academic records are stored there on our behalf. Supabase processes data on our instruction only. |
Beyond these two service providers, your data is not disclosed to anyone, except where we are required to by law.
Your attendance records are yours. Clasow does not show your attendance to other students, to teachers, or to your college. Access is restricted at the database level so that one account cannot read another account's records.
Your data is kept while your account exists. When you delete your account, your personal data and academic records are deleted from our live database — and that includes the reminder summaries described above. See Delete your account.
The detailed reminder note on your phone is not kept indefinitely: it holds roughly the last six weeks and older entries are discarded as new ones arrive. Signing out of the app deletes it outright.
All traffic between the app and our servers uses HTTPS. Access to records is enforced per-account at the database level. We do not store passwords — sign-in is handled by Google.
No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. If you believe your account has been accessed by someone else, email us.
Clasow is intended for college and university students and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.
Clasow is currently distributed as a closed test on Google Play. Test builds may change often and may contain defects. This policy applies to test builds exactly as it does to public releases.
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change affects what we collect, tell you in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
